My (not so brief) profile

- My recent quote: Dutch people always complain about the bad weather, esp. the long rainy silly crazy winter, they opt to go to other countries to spend summer holiday while summer in Holland is the best season of all. Why?

- Likes: Maths or anything that need deep analysis and imagination, people who dare to be different, traveling and photography, beer, football, dogs, water, Yahoo and Google, Kazaa Lite, BBC, fish, Tom and Jerry, the country.

- Dislikes: gossips esp. those about politicians or movie stars, cats, smoking, G.W. Bush, dish washing, MSN, CNN, Manchester United, instant noodle.

- Home places: Hai Duong, Hanoi and Delft.

- List of things to do in life: Travel around the world, sail thru all Holland cities, and explore every corner of Vietnam and myself.

- Favorite football teams: Arsenal FC and The Netherlands (of course)

- Leisure activities: Many things, but now only traveling and photography. Drinking beer and sitting in the sun would also be nice during summer.

- My idols: No idol!

- Computer games: RTS games such as Warcraft, Age of Empires but Quake is nice too. In addition, Mortal Kombat III used to be my favorite.

- The greatest love of all: Love of life and mother's love.

- The most valuable things in life: Freedom, creativeness and the struggle to be truthful, to be oneself.

- Good/bad habits: Tend to interpret everything visually (even music), laziness (prefer play to work, who doesnt?), sleep too much while go to bed too late.

- Believes in: The fact that people and things are changing day by day, the essential goodness of people and the essential badness of myself, love, UFO, my magic sense and power.

- Does not believe in: God, astrology, life after death.

- Music: Varies depending on mood. As for me, there is no bad music, as long as they really come from the composers' souls and hearts.

- Recent books read:

The Hobbits. (The so-called prologue to LoTR)

All quiet in Western front.

UnDutchable.

Ngõ phố Hà Nội (Street corners in Hanoi). A gentle but still original writing about ordinary lives in every corners of Hanoi from a Japanese man, highly recommended for both Hanoians and those who want to travel to Hanoi.

The girl with a perl earing.

- Recent good movies: I'm newbie to movie world, that's why some old classic ones are still "new" to me.

Life of Brian. The famous comedy of Monty Python ... dunno how to tell, just watch then u will see ;)

Shrek 1 & 2. Still very much prefer the first Shrek

Tango. Amazing graphics and emotional dancing movements ...

Last tango in Paris. Impressive visual frames, cool jazz music, an empty, stuffy and instinctive atmosphere, some sex scenes and much more ;)

- Places I've been to: Vietnam, The Netherlands (nearly all big cities), Germany (mostly the south), Belgium, France (Paris only), Luxembourg, Italy (Rome only).

- Next places to go: Denmark (short term), Saigon (long term), Egypt (long term)

- Next thing to learn: Tennis (Sept 04), Ceramics (Oct 04)
