Biography

From February 2012 until March 2013, Vishwas Jain was a researcher at CAS in the area of Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) based imagers for bio-medical imaging with a focus on PET/SPECT systems. The objective is to design a new generation of high fill-factor image sensors in order to increase the photon detection efficiency. The idea is to use Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) CMOS technology for back-side illuminated image sensors.
