MSc thesis project proposal

Joint Communication and Radar Sensing

Project outside the university

NXP semiconductors

Self-driving vehicles are equipped with wireless communication transceivers and multiple sensors such as automotive radars. They implement radar to sense and interact with the environment, and data communication to neighboring vehicles and road-side units. This project investigates the codesign of communication and sensing systems for vehicular applications.

Assignment

In this MSc project, you will develop new algorithms and designs for joint communication and radar systems

Requirements

For this project, we are looking for a master's student in either electrical engineering or any related study. Furthermore, we are looking for a student who has a background in signal processing, sensors, basic statistical techniques, data analysis, and programming skills in Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++. Strong communication (written and verbal) skills in English are mandatory. The expected project duration is about 9 to 12 months.
